The once-a-year venue for Dog Mart (12400 Herndon Road, Spotsylvania CH, VA) is in its final stages of preparation. The entrance to the Dog Mart venue is on the crest of a hill, and if you are coming north on Herndon Road from Brock Road, the entrance to the property will be a left turn. Be cautious of oncoming traffic heading south. The speed limit is 45 mph, but, unfortunately, many consider the speed limit signs as advisory. People exceed the speed limit and it is dangerous, so be careful.

The signs are placed at the entry of the grounds of the Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. The chapter, founded here in 1947, is the host for the annual Fredericksburg Dog Mart and is the longest continuous Dog Mart, which originated 327 years ago at the falls of the Rappahannock before the founding of Fredericksburg. We are the proud home for several 501(c)3 charitable organizations to include the Manahoac Bowmen, the Boy Scout Troop 21, and Cub Scout Pack 21. Numerous other organizations use the property for campouts, fishing, and general recreation.
