Our Izaak Walton Fredericksburg-Rappahannock chapter was cited recently by the Commonwealth of Virginia General Assembly for its long standing stewardship for the Fredericksburg Dog Mart as the oldest dog event in the United States. We are very proud to continue this tradition at our chapter grounds. Mark Cole, Virginia State Delegate, made the presentation at a chapter membership meeting on the evening of June 3, 2021. The 325th Fredericksburg Dog Mart
We have begun the planning for the next Dog Mart.. Here is the newest poster for the event which will be held on the last Saturday of September this year as it is in every year. This year the event is planned for September 30, 2023.
Unprecedented Aerial View of the Dog Mart
This year we had a drone capture an aerial view of the 324th Dog Mart. This is a quick aerial overflight of the grounds taken from the drone flight path coming in from over the pond. Special thanks to Andrew Tindall for providing the drone views.

Saturday, September 27th, 2025 from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (postponed, see below.)
Rain date:
Sunday, September 28th; we had to move to the rain date due to rain yesterday. We will conduct nearly the same schedule we had planned for yesterday with a few adjustments in time.
Where:
Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Chapter Park at 12400 Herndon Road in Spotsylvania, VA.
What:

Admission:
Parking fee $5.00 per carload to be paid at the gate. Bring the whole family including the dogs!! Cash or credit accepted.
